Our vision can be summarised as Rooted in the Gospel, Radical transformation. That as individuals and as a church, we would be so deeply rooted in the gospel, and the gospel so deeply rooted in us, that it would have a wonderful, radically transforming affect on our lives.
Our Values:
Worship
We want God to be the passion of our lives and to worship Him for who He is.
The Gospel
We want all our people to be able to live in the good of and forever be grateful to God for all that Jesus Christ has done for us through His death and resurrection.
Biblical teaching
We are committed to and passionate about biblical teaching and preaching. Across all the age groups in the church we want our teaching to develop in all of us a love for God and a desire to live for His glory in every area of our lives.
Mission
We believe everyone needs to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and we want to do everything that we can to see that happen. That means every member of Westlake Lausanne seeing themselves as missionaries to their own tribe: to their work colleagues, their friends and their neighbours. It means as a church we organise events that enable people to hear the good news of Jesus. it means we regularly support individuals and organisations around the globe who are working to see that happen. And we are honoured to have a strong local connection with Medair, a humanitarian organisation that works in some of the most troubled parts of the world bringing help and care to he most vulnerable, guided by its Christian ethos.
Our marriages and families
We want to do everything we can to build strong marriages and families, and see our children grow up with a deep passion and love for Christ and His kingdom.
Fellowship
We love getting together and sharing our lives together. We do that through small groups, church family meals and occasional retreats and camps.
