Youth Ministry 

When children begin to make the transition into their teenage years, the world opens out into new possibilities as they begin to realize their own potential – and the many opportunities and exciting choices in front of them. These years of development need special attention and the youth program at Westlake Church is designed to enable young people aged 11-18 to make choices that are pleasing to God and that will radically affect the course of their lives. Relationships are possibly the most important element of youth ministry and it is through the many relationships that young people form that they gain help to face all the choices and development ahead of them. These relationships exist on several levels: between the young adult and God, between the young adult and leaders, and between the young adult and their friends.  

The youth program at Westlake Church is geared with this in mind. The congregation holds a Friday evening program "EPIC" where our young people gather to eat together, have fun, discuss various subjects and worship. On Sundays, the young people typically have their own program after a time of worship with the rest of the church. The Sunday program aims to build knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. God reveals himself to us through His Word and this is an integral part of building a relationship with the Lord.
