Small Groups  

Heb 10:24,25 “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another  -  all the more as you see the day approaching.”(NIV)

Small groups are an integral part of our church at Westlake. Our vision for the small groups is that we ‘Keep it Real’ and that they be places where we find real support, real community, real encouragement, and real accountability. They should also be places where we can be real – where we can drop any pretences we may have, and be our real selves, and find a group who accept us as such. Through studying the Bible together and praying for each other, we grow more like Christ and in doing so, grow closer together. 

We would encourage everyone who comes to Westlake regularly to get involved in a small group. All the groups share a desire to study God’s Word and pray, and to encourage each other in our relationships with God, but there is a fair variation between groups and each has its own style.

God is working His purpose out in varied and exciting ways, from helping people to understand and apply God’s Word, to healing, to accountability, to support through very difficult times, to a social group for people here for only a few months, to a pastoral and practical support group.
