Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit our web site! Hopefully the few minutes you spend here will help you get a better idea of the kind of church Westlake is. Westlake Church is an English-speaking church with two congregations located along the shore of “Lac Leman” (more commonly known to English speakers as Lake Geneva) in Switzerland. One congregation is located in the town of Nyon, about 20 minutes east of Geneva and 30 minutes west of Lausanne. The church building is just two minutes walk from the train station in Nyon and a large open-air car-park called “Perdtemps”. Please click here for a map. Westlake Church was established in 1987 by a number of families who were attending a church in Geneva, but living closer to the Nyon area. Since those early beginnings, the church has grown tremendously in attendance and activities. Westlake Church is an independent, evangelical church where people of many different cultures and nationalities come together to worship. You can find out more about our beliefs by reading our Statement of Faith. Being so closely situated to Geneva and the many international organizations and companies represented there, we believe that Westlake has an important role to play in the lives of people who come to this part of the world, whether it be long term or just for a couple of years. The nations of the world are well-represented at Westlake – people from Asia, Australia, Africa, North America and Europe have all found a place with us here. Regardless of your background, we hope you will find a warm welcome at Westlake Church. Our service is on Sunday morning at 10:30 in Lausanne and on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. in Nyon, but there are also a number of activities during the week which cater to different needs and age groups.
