Operation Christmas Child

National-Collection-Week-Graphic-1-1512-X-756.jpg

.. delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by mission churches, shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way. If you want to pack a box, you can start shopping for toys or school supplies now.

There are box labels to print out and mark if your gift is for a boy or a girl and to select an age category 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14.  Fill a shoebox with a selection of fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. If possible, include one or two extra special items you know a child will love such as a nice doll or deflated football with pump.

A suggested donation of 11.49 Euros is requested to cover shipping and processing. Do not include any liquids, toothpaste, or war-related toys. Personalise your shoebox by including a handwritten note and a photograph of yourself, your group, or your family. You may also like to pray for the child that will receive your gift.

Place a rubber band around each closed shoebox and bring it to church. We will all bring our boxes to church by Sunday, November 12th. Join us as we try to pack 50 boxes to send to Eastern Europe. A simple shoebox gift packed with love and fueled by prayer can have a huge impact!

Youth - please join us Saturday 11 November from 11.00-13.00 to purchase gifts and pack them into shoeboxes for children in need in Eastern Europe! We are partnering with Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child in order to bless children with Christmas gifts, and we will use the funds raised from the “Taste of the Nations” fundraiser to purchase all of the items needed for 35 shoeboxes!
